If one disagrees with the policies of Ariel Sharon, does that make you an anti-Semite?

Israel can do wrong by Leon Fisher, Unknown News Sept. 10, 2003

Why do some people insist that Israel can do no wrong? Why is it that these same people cannot separate the war criminal who controls the government of Israel and those of the Jewish faith in general?
If one disagrees with the policies of Ariel Sharon, does that make you an anti-Semite? Well, if that is the case, what if you are of the Jewish faith and disagree with Sharon does that also qualify as being anti-Semitic? I don't think so!

The tactics used by those in power to discredit their detractors is nothing new. Those in power who are less than sincere and forthcoming (whether they be in Tel Aviv, Moscow, Berlin, Washington or anywhere else on this planet) will label any and all who question them in a most despicable manner.
Here in America, if one disagrees with the politics of the present administration, you may be accused of being un-American or god forbid, un-patriotic. For instance, several years ago I called a popular conservative radio talk show to express my opinion on US foreign policy. I repeated the words of no less than the father of our country, George Washington, who in his farewell address said "Beware of foreign entanglements." No sooner was I off the phone then the next caller was accusing me of not only being un-American but being an anti-Semite as well.
Those were the words of a great American patriot I was quoting, not my own. Does that then make G. Washington un-American and a hater of those of the Jewish faith? Ridiculous!
This is what debate has come to in this politically correct atmosphere. When those in power know they cannot stand the test of truth or win the argument, all that's left is to slander their opponents into submission.
It has nothing to do with religion or patriotism, and all to do with the stranglehold on power.
