Keep in mind, folks, by the logic of pro-war crowd, if you defend our troops you must defend their mission.
By defending the mission you continue the occupation and keep the killing machines on both sides (or in this case, all sides) going indefinitely...

One more note about the chickenhawk delivering the turkey: The man won't go to any military funerals, but he'll wake up a select few troops at 6 am to have turkey with all the trimmings, then it's back to the jihad.
| Come on, give me a break. The borders are conveniently porous around Baghdad, and you can plainly see everything is going according to plan for Bush and Company. The plan is, stay in Iraq for 6 to 8 years and keep the jihad there instead of on American soil.
You can get rid of a lot of people this way, but at what cost? And should America have started this fight in the first place? | | Bush's own words on turkey day to the troops: "You are defeating the war on terror here in Iraq. You are keeping terrorism from happening on American soil." Thanks to Bring 'em on Bush, our troops are getting a daily dose of payback in the form of vigilante-style jihad.
Pretty soon everyone including the locals who once befriended our troops will want to get back at them, for a friend or loved one who (as our leaders say) "got caught in the crossfire." There's a whole lotta crossfire going on, and the "liberated" Iraqi people are sick of being liberated from their family members.
Keep in mind, folks, by the logic of the pro-war crowd, if you defend our troops you must defend their mission. By defending the mission you continue the occupation and keep the killing machines on both sides (or in this case, all sides) going indefinitely... Thus making Bush and the U.S. military complex very rich and very happy.
I kind of wonder sometimes if this is some kind of sick 'misery loves company' with all career soldiers. According to some of these gung ho guys, there has never been a war that was a mistake, they simply weren't fought properly at the time. And of course, if they had their way it would have been done differently.
Some U.S. soldiers are on their third tour in Iraq. It's absurd, and it's irresponsible of our leaders. When it's finally all over, I can't wait to see who the armchair generals will blame for the screw-ups this time...
And knowing the sick, pathetic fools our leaders tend to be, they will probably try to right the wrongs of this war by starting another one. Typical, so damn typical.
All wars can use the following title ... The Should've, Could've, Would've War.
