Go out and vote for the corporate candidate of your (their) choice

by Leon Fisher, Unknown News

Feb. 27, 2004

If you have been watching the mainstream propaganda news shows as I have, then you too are seeing the over enthusiastic coverage being devoted to this election nonsense.
While keeping a firm grip on the remote control, trying not to lose my cool, I watched and listened to all the so-called "candidates." I remembered reading about the "free elections" which were carried out in the former Soviet Union. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying we in America are living under such a tyranny, but our election process is becoming quite similar.

In the old Soviet Union, the ruling Russian elite (posing as Communists) would allow the masses to vote for their leaders. This was wonderful, as it made the common people believe they had some control over their lives, and showed the rest of the world how well things worked in the USSR.

Yes, elections were carried out, but the only problem was that all the candidates were loyal hand-picked Communist Party members. No other political parties were tolerated. Whether you voted for either Comrade X, Y, or Z, the ruling elite was still guaranteed to win.

What I see happening here in America is basically the same old Soviet scam. No candidate of any political party is going to get the nomination unless he or she is acceptable to the ruling elite right here in the good old USA.

Some of you are shaking your heads and saying this cannot happen here. Well, Comrades, I've got news for you. It is happening here, and has been happening for quite some time! Why do you think astronomical sums of money are being spent in the form of "campaign contributions" on the various candidates deemed acceptable to those powerful special interests? And, like all good businessmen, these investors expect a profitable return on their investment.

So, like in the old Soviet Union, we common folk are encouraged to get out and vote for the candidates of our choice, and like the suckers back in the USSR, we're told to believe we have control over things.

We do not have control over things. If we had control over things, we would never have had a 9/11, or the illegal and unjust wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, or the criminal regime in Washington responsible for these outrages. If we were in control of things, millions of good-paying American jobs would not be leaving for foreign lands, plunging our economy into the crapper.

Ask Senator Kerry, corporate candidate, about this. He voted for the North American Free Trade Agreement, better known as NAFTA. I'm sure the good Senator thought this would be good for the American worker. Bullshit!

The truth of the matter is that all these guys have been bought and paid for.

But don't let this fact keep you from voting. Go out and vote for the corporate candidate of your choice. It will make you feel good, but do not expect things to get any better. Things will only get worse.
