With our economy, along with the war situation in Afghanistan and Iraq worsening, I cannot understand the attitudes of my fellow citizens who insist on supporting the status quo in Washington.
How can they believe that by reelecting these same politicians who have made such a mess of things, they will now change things for the better? This unrealistic attitude is a large part of the problem which allows for the continued abuse of power.
These voters -- tired, overworked, distracted, dumbed down, disinterested, politically ignorant -- ruin things for those of us who seek real change in government. We, the reformers, the revolutionaries, the legitimate patriots of America, are fed up with the corruption, the lies, the wars, and the corporate and foreign stranglehold of our government. Yet we find ourselves stopped dead in our tracks by our very own friends and neighbors. And, unfortunately, things are not going to change anytime soon.
Many people I speak to still intend to vote for either of the two major political parties. How do we deal with these zombies, this mass hypnosis which continues to undermine all attempts for meaningful change? Under these circumstances, how can those of us who support change successfully oppose the small but powerful elite whose agenda is that of total control of America?
With the major media owned and operated by giant corporations, leaving only the internet and a few independent newspapers speaking for real people, it is not surprising that the average citizen has been conditioned to preserve this failed system. We have all been subjected to this brainwashing since we were children.
Although one by one, more of us are waking up and seeing through this nonsense, still a great many of our peers do not see the truth. Whether they are ignorant, or choose not to see the storm approaching out of fear and cowardice, it will not matter.
If enough of us keep playing the game as those in power hope we will, it will make things so much easier for the new world order elitists and their political prostitutes in Washington to achieve complete dominance over the people. Those of us who put our faith into this sham, this two party system, are in for a rude awakening. The economy is not going to improve, nor is the war going to end anytime soon.
In fact, all those faithful Democratic and Republican supporters out there are in for a big surprise when the winner of the next election announces a return of the military draft. Let's see how these folks like that idea, when they or their loved ones are called upon as cannon fodder to help perpetuate the profits of the military industrial complex.
I am also wondering what all these diehard Republican and Democratic voters will think when their jobs go to India or China and the banks take their homes. Guess they'll be wondering what happened to those ten million new jobs promised by the Democrats' candidate or the three hundred thousand new jobs a month promised by the Republican candidate.
And one more thing the Democratic and Republican voters will unwittingly do to help screw us all -- make sure they support the PATRIOT Act * and all other legislation to take away what's left of our rights. I wonder what these Democratic and Republican supporters will be thinking when it is considered a terrorist act to dare criticize their government.
I say to hell with both major political parties. If you do not like what they stand for, do not vote for any of them.
Neither political party gives a shit about what we think. It's all about money and power.
If you truly wish to change things, try to enlighten those around you with the truth. Do not allow these deluded fools who still vote for the same old corrupt failed system to take you down with them.
If you disagree with what is happening here in America than goddammit, speak out. Speak out intelligently and know the facts. Use your printer to copy and disseminate the truth unbiased by corporate and government propaganda.
And most important of all, keep at it, day and night.
