OK, Bush really is fuckin' nuts... He plans to have all Americans screened for mental illness???
I know first hand the harm psychiatric drugs can do, when the power to impose them on people is given to bullies who think they are 'professionals'. And Bush has taken the psychiatric industry off the ethical leash. As my mom says... Shit fire turkey turd.

I wonder what they will do with those who are deemed "defective" by the norm police?
Will they force them into faith-based coercion therapy?
Drug them into a harmless (but still able to get to work) stupor?
Force them into mental hospitals they can't afford, and then when "patients" are unable to pay for "treatments" will they go to debt slave labor camps to 'work off their debt to 'society'?
Or will the gurus of the public "good" just kill off the abnormals as they distract the stupid brain dead public with some flash in the pan on TV, or yet another not-really-a-controversy "controversy"?
Cook up some sexxxy celebrity distractions?
Something non-threateningly silly yet attention-grabbing enough to turn away the eyes as the first few so called defectives are taken away ... the ones no-one 'cares about' ...

There are butthole hypocrite shrinks with nasty unresolved countertranceferance issues,
and shrinks who are just plain arrogant, shrinks who are inexperienced and in ignorance. There are shrinks who are in denial, too. They will target people who are different, self-directed, creative, anti-authoritarian, resistant,
uncooperative, "inappropriate," or just non-conformist in this "new freedom initiative," to enrich the pharmaceutical companies and make us obey.
This new "program" (see gray sidebar, right) is nothing but psychopharm mind control games on a nationwide scale -- enormous power in the hands of anal, insensitive, often incompetent, deluded, social control freaks who think they are the bastions of 'normal,' doing the "public good" ... who think they can engineer culture through mindgames, threats, and drugs.
Fuck the preferences of these bullies.
Fuck all these monocultural psych control aphids, and the shrub they feed on.

I will not be tested by psych personnel yet again. So if you want to know the opinions of shrinks, go look at microfilms ... 'cause I ain't going along with this testing crap yet again. Fuck y'all. You'd have a nice lethal shower waiting for me, if only you could get away with it in America , you nazi freaks.
Shrinks haven't figured me out yet, 'cause I'm stark raving sane.
Y'all still don't have a clue what sanity might look like do ya?
Sanity is something the bad witchdoctoring we call psychology-psychiatry-pharmacology has no understanding of, or definition for. They are not looking for sanity in people. They're not encouraging comfortable states of mind in individuals or in society, because they don't know what sanity is.
Eugenics is what's under all these claims of' 'norm.' That's the ulterior motive behind this big idea of screening everyone in America for "mental illness."
It's a deja vu of naziesque proportions, this "screening" of the public for the "mental defectives."
I wonder what they will do with those who are deemed "defective" by the norm police? Will they force them into faith-based coercion therapy? Control freaks, socialized sociopaths, authoritarians, bullies, and greedy profiteers alike do not want a lot of people in this world to be sane, self-sovereign, happy, content with themselves, or satisfied with their lives.
They want people traumatized because abuse makes people confused, vulnerable, scared, and controllable -- deployable. They know that happy self-secure people aren't profitable to a system like ours.
Sane people aren't obedient and don't conform to authority figures without making said figure EARN their trust first. People content and satisfied with their lives don't need a leader-guru-fixer-savior-professional-purchase to fix them up, tell them who to be, or tell them how to live. There's no money and no power in declaring people 'sane,' only 'insane.'
Sanity is not compatible with ideas like eugenics, domination, conformity, torture, and fascism. Sanity irritates all sorts of social control freaks.
People happy with themselves as they are don't need an idea to identify with, don't need to conform to a 'role model'. They don't desire a scapegoat to blame their failure and inadequacies on. Happy people don't see security in trying to control their environment, so they don't play mind-games to be 'on top' or get all defensive or deceptive about their own motives in the face of disagreements and differences. They can live and let live.
So I don't need a definition, or 'permission' to be myself. I will never blithely conform to any so-called norms without questioning their reasons for existing. Authoritarians hate having their authority questioned by an equal. And to that I say...get over yerself.
I will not obey or agree with any so called "culture" if it makes me sick to even try to exist inside it's silly confining mental walls. My sanity is more important that this administration's desire for power. What power can anyone have over me? Hmmm. All I hear is an empty sound, and the hot wind of bullies' huge egos deflating.
Arrogant psych-con-artists who use their "expertise" to rationalize this kind of shit (like Sally Satel does) can kiss my disgusted ass. I have heard shrinks say before, the last person to know they are sick and in need of counseling is the sick person themselves. Well, all you pseudo-psych-physicians, take this medicine: Go heal thyself! I think you all are the sickest of the sick, all you who fancy yourselves definers of norms for the rest of society. You act like socialized sociopaths -- so paranoid of differences, authoritarian,
narcissistic, borderline in your perceptions, and so horribly insecure!
The hubris of some "professionals" is enough to make me gag.
Just because you are a "professional," it can never make you automatically sane, ethical, moral, trustworthy, or correct, not to those who see through this whole mind-fuck game called psychiatry.
Shit, Some medicine men and shamans can outclass modern shrinks in the healing arts. They can actually heal people's emotional pain without labeling, controlling, or dehumanizing them.
It does not matter to me at all what any psychiatrist says about my mental health, because they are not privy to my thoughts no matter how much they tell themselves they are. They cannot compare me to other similar 'cases' -- they just don't know. Sometimes a cigar is really just a cigar.
I've had so many labels that did not stick, and every doctor I see gives me a shiny new one. All the labels that have been changed could fill a book and still these "professionals" don't know what I am thinking or why I am the way I am. Guess what -- all therapists can do is guess, assume, profile, pose, and flounder, and hope some bullshit-baffled fool, power hungry asswipe, or greedy son-of-a-bitch takes Bush's "plans" seriously enough to fund and rationalize them. And it looks like you've found funds, a gravy train, power trips and plenty of crazy fools in the Bush administration.
How can this new plan be anything but deluded, when shrinks so arrogantly speak of another's inner life as if they can know what it is like to be someone else -- as if they know how others feel, think, perceive. And on top of that hubris, for this administration on a national scale to try to predict or define anyone else's mental life -- whew, that's really a stretch of your omnipotent imaginations. The last people to be that crazy and play this kind of mind-game game with the general public were Nazis.
I am comfy with who I am.
I am happy being me as I see fit, and I alone am sovereign over myself. No-one can make me betray myself, because I am too sane to be broken by the likes of psychiatry, too free to be coerced by the likes of typical "professional" opinionated assholes. I reject this silly eugenics program, the 'normal' tests, and all the mind-killing conformity drugs, and all your other Bull Fuck Skinner behaviorism/marketing crap.
My mind and heart is my own. No-one can win it or steal it, control it or change it. I have no use for your kind of "new freedom."

everyone.
With President Bush announcing plans to screen the entire
USA population for potential psychiatric drugging, this is
very good timing, indeed.

PROTESTERS SAY: "STOP THE BUSH PUSH TO DRUG USA!"
A number of participants are making Bush the object of
their Mad Pride peaceful events this year.
That is because the Bush Administration is promoting
a plan to screen the entire USA population for "mental
illness," and pushing psychiatric drugs on those labeled.
Two whistleblowers in Philadelphia -- an investigator
and a psychiatrist -- have lost their jobs to blow
the whistle on drug company corruption in the mental
health system, and both are suing.

White House may be planning nationwide program to diagnose, drug kidsExcerpt: A new plan by the Bush administration to test the nation's public school population for mental disorders and treat them with controversial drugs has raised an alarm among some medical science watchdogs and members of the mental health community.
The White House is expected to announce a mental health and disability initiative that recommends the screening and treatment of the country’s K-12 students. The plan is based on a Texas program a government whistleblower has called "a Trojan horse" for pharmaceutical companies.
Bush seeks to screen U.S. population for mental illnessExcerpt: President Bush plans to unveil next month a sweeping mental health initiative that recommends screening for every citizen and promotes the use of expensive antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs favored by supporters of the administration.
No child left un-medicated?Excerpt: "A sweeping mental health initiative will be unveiled by President George W. Bush in July," reported the British Medical Journal on June 19. The administration’s "New Freedom Initiative" envisions "comprehensive mental health screening for ‘consumers of all ages,’ including preschool children."
According to the Presidential Commission on Mental Health: "Each year, young children are expelled from preschools and childcare facilities for severely disruptive behaviors and emotional disorders." "There are good data showing that if you identify kids at an earlier age who are aggressive you can intervene … and change their trajectory," insists Dr. Graham Emslie, who helped develop a Texas pilot project on which the Bush administration proposal is based. The commission points out that schools are in a "key position" to screen 52 million students and 6 million adults who work at schools.
Whistleblower charges medical oversight bureau with corruptionExcerpt: Dr Stefan Kruszewski, a psychiatrist hired by the Bureau of Program Integrity in the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, filed a law suit on 1 July in a federal court in the Middle District of Pennsylvania, charging that he was fired on 11 July 2003 after he uncovered widespread abuse and fraud in the bureau.
Lawsuit: State fired shrink for exposing abuse OUR PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER LOGIN: spam-catcher@lycos.com PASSWORD: unknownnewsExcerpt: Dr. Stefan Kruszewski, a prominent Harrisburg psychiatrist who was hired to root out fraud, abuse and waste within the state's Department of Public Welfare, was fired for doing just that, he alleges in a federal lawsuit.
During the course of his duties, Kruszewski discovered that four children and one adult who had been prescribed potentially lethal combinations of medications died while under state care, he said. He believes they died from drug toxicity, but he was not permitted to review the autopsy reports, he alleges.

This is what Panther is responding to:
Bush plans to screen whole US population for mental illness
by Jeanne Lenzer, British Medical Journal
June 19, 2004
A sweeping mental health initiative will be unveiled by President George W Bush in July. The plan promises to integrate mentally ill patients fully into the community by providing "services in the community, rather than institutions," according to a March 2004 progress report entitled New Freedom Initiative. While some praise the plan's goals, others say it protects the profits of drug companies at the expense of the public.
Bush established the New Freedom Commission on Mental Health in April 2002 to conduct a "comprehensive study of the United States mental health service delivery system." The commission issued its recommendations in July 2003. Bush instructed more than 25 federal agencies to develop an implementation plan based on those recommendations.
The president's commission found that "despite their prevalence, mental disorders often go undiagnosed" and recommended comprehensive mental health screening for "consumers of all ages," including preschool children. According to the commission, "Each year, young children are expelled from preschools and childcare facilities for severely disruptive behaviours and emotional disorders." Schools, wrote the commission, are in a "key position" to screen the 52 million students and 6 million adults who work at the schools.
The commission also recommended "Linkage [of screening] with treatment and supports" including "state-of-the-art treatments" using "specific medications for specific conditions." The commission commended the Texas Medication Algorithm Project (TMAP) as a "model" medication treatment plan that "illustrates an evidence-based practice that results in better consumer outcomes."
Dr Darrel Regier, director of research at the American Psychiatric Association (APA), lauded the president's initiative and the Texas project model saying, "What's nice about TMAP is that this is a logical plan based on efficacy data from clinical trials."
He said the association has called for increased funding for implementation of the overall plan.
But the Texas project, which promotes the use of newer, more expensive antidepressants and antipsychotic drugs, sparked off controversy when Allen Jones, an employee of the Pennsylvania Office of the Inspector General, revealed that key officials with influence over the medication plan in his state received money and perks from drug companies with a stake in the medication algorithm. He was sacked this week for speaking to the BMJ and the New York Times.
The Texas project started in 1995 as an alliance of individuals from the pharmaceutical industry, the University of Texas, and the mental health and corrections systems of Texas. The project was funded by a Robert Wood Johnson grant-and by several drug companies.
Mr Jones told the BMJ that the same "political/pharmaceutical alliance" that generated the Texas project was behind the recommendations of the New Freedom Commission, which, according to his whistleblower report, were "poised to consolidate the TMAP effort into a comprehensive national policy to treat mental illness with expensive, patented medications of questionable benefit and deadly side effects, and to force private insurers to pick up more of the tab"
Larry D Sasich, research associate with Public Citizen in Washington, DC, told the BMJ that studies in both the United States and Great Britain suggest that "using the older drugs first makes sense. There's nothing in the labeling of the newer atypical antipsychotic drugs that suggests they are superior in efficacy to haloperidol [an older "typical" antipsychotic]. There has to be an enormous amount of unnecessary expenditures for the newer drugs."
Olanzapine (trade name Zyprexa), one of the atypical antipsychotic drugs recommended as a first line drug in the Texas algorithm, grossed $4.28bn (£2.35bn; 3.56bn) worldwide in 2003 and is Eli Lilly's top selling drug. A 2003 New York Times article by Gardiner Harris reported that 70% of olanzapine sales are paid for by government agencies, such as Medicare and Medicaid.
Eli Lilly, manufacturer of olanzapine, has multiple ties to the Bush administration. George Bush Sr was a member of Lilly's board of directors and Bush Jr appointed Lilly's chief executive officer, Sidney Taurel, to a seat on the Homeland Security Council. Lilly made $1.6m in political contributions in 2000 -- 82% of which went to Bush and the Republican Party.
Jones points out that the companies that helped to start up the Texas project have been, and still are, big contributors to the election funds of George W Bush. In addition, some members of the New Freedom Commission have served on advisory boards for these same compa
nies, while others have direct ties to the Texas Medication Algorithm Project.
Bush was the governor of Texas during the development of the Texas project, and, during his 2000 presidential campaign, he boasted of his support for the project and the fact that the legislation he passed expanded Medicaid coverage of psychotropic drugs.
Bush is the clear front runner when it comes to drug company contributions. According to the Center for Responsive Politics (CRP), manufacturers of drugs and health products have contributed $764 274 to the 2004 Bush campaign through their political action committees and employees-far outstripping the $149 400 given to his chief rival, John Kerry, by 26 April.
Drug companies have fared exceedingly well under the Bush administration, according to the centre's spokesperson, Steven Weiss.
The commission's recommendation for increased screening has also been questioned. Robert Whitaker, journalist and author of Mad in America, says that while increased screening "may seem defensible," it could also be seen as "fishing for customers," and that exorbitant spending on new drugs "robs from other forms of care such as job training and shelter programmes."
But Dr Graham Emslie, who helped develop the Texas project, defends screening: "There are good data showing that if you identify kids at an earlier age who are aggressive, you can intervene... and change their trajectory."
