Sorry, we've suspended the mailing list. The list grew so large that our [former] email provider, myway.com, decided we're "a commercial operation," and booted us from their free email service. Until we find another alternative, there will be no more email alerts.

We do offer a newsfeed, a few lines of html code that add our latest headlines to your website, as soon as the news goes on-line.

Or, here's our schedule, so you'll know when to check in:
We update the news on our main page once weekly, on Mondays at about noon CST.

As we gather news for next Monday's edition, we update the "rough draft" page almost every day, and you're welcome to sneak a peek.

And we update our dialogue page almost daily, and you're invited to join the conversation.
If you know of a program or service that will allow us to send messages to a very large list of people without great hassle, without cost, without revealing your email address to spammers, and without including ads in our announcements, please let us know: Email unknownnews at inbox.com -- thanks.

We do a major update of Unknown News once weekly on Mondays, but particularly important news goes on-line instantly.

If you'd like to receive e-mailed updates, just let us know whether you want news
AS IT HAPPENS (usually 2-3 updates a week, and never more than one email in a day), or just ONCE-WEEKLY UPDATES. Make your choice with a click on one of the links to the left.

Or if it's easier, just send an email to newsuneed at yahoo.com, and tell us which list you'd like to be on. It's as easy as that. Do type a sentence, though -- it's not an automated process, and blank emails just confuse us.

If or when you want off our lists, just say so and we'll never bother you again.

We will never send any kind of sales pitch or beg for donations.
We will never share your email address with anyone. Your email address will be removed from this list promptly upon request, and deleted. We don't keep archival records.

We'll only add the email address that sends a request. This means you can only sign up for yourself, not for anyone or everyone you think might be interested.
A computer program doesn't maintain the list, we do the adding and deleting ourselves, so it's OK to say howdy or chat if you'd like. And if you do say something more than "add me" or "remove me" in your email, please remember, anything sent to Unknown News may be published. If you don't want it published, just say so plainly.
